Establish the asset and inspection basis
Review the agreed line or equipment population, source reports and inspection history. Record missing identifiers, uncertain boundaries and information that requires specialist assessment.
01 / Piping & Pressure Equipment
Bring line records, inspection findings and repair priorities into one controlled programme. We connect the inspection scope to work preparation, budget decisions and the evidence your asset team needs at handover.
The challenge
A pipework backlog rarely sits in one place. Inspection reports describe defects; the line list defines the assets; work orders describe jobs. When these records do not match, scope, priority and completion status become difficult to defend. We help your team establish those links before work is released.
01Inspection findings cannot be reconciled with the line or equipment register.
02Repair, coating and insulation work compete for the same access or shutdown window.
03Work is reported complete, but the inspection evidence or asset record remains open.
The work
Review the agreed line or equipment population, source reports and inspection history. Record missing identifiers, uncertain boundaries and information that requires specialist assessment.
Bring together the specialist assessment, owner priorities, due dates, access constraints and operating windows. Make the assumptions and decisions visible in the action register.
Translate approved findings into mechanical, coating, insulation and access scopes. Define interfaces, estimate assumptions, acceptance requirements and the documents needed before execution.
Track changes, completion and verification. Reconcile accepted evidence with the originating finding and prepare updates for the client’s CMMS and inspection history.
What you receive
The final deliverable set and acceptance requirements are agreed for your assignment.
An agreed population linked to inspection sources, with gaps and uncertain records identified.
Each action has a source, agreed priority, responsible owner, target date and decision status.
Approved scope, discipline interfaces, access requirements, budget assumptions and acceptance criteria.
Completion evidence, specialist verification where required, and traceable asset-record updates.
From finding to evidence
Illustrative workflow · not a client caseA reported coating defect has no linked repair work order.
Confirm the asset reference, agree the repair boundary and combine access with the planned inspection window.
Accepted repair record, required inspection evidence and the linked CMMS update.
Clear responsibilities
Inspection methods, condition assessments, remaining-life conclusions and statutory approvals belong to appropriately competent and authorised specialists. We define the delivery roles with you. The owner approves priorities, operating constraints, budgets and final acceptance.
How owner decisions are built inScope questions
Yes. The assignment can connect your existing inspection provider, maintenance contractors and asset team. We agree who inspects, who assesses, who prepares the work and who accepts completion before the programme starts.
Pressure equipment can be included where the asset population, inspection obligations and specialist responsibilities are explicitly agreed. A piping assignment does not automatically include every item of pressure equipment on site.
The scope is established against asset complexity, data quality, access and required specialist methods. We agree the delivery basis after reviewing those conditions rather than assuming a standard production rate.
