02 / ATEX & Electrical

Give every ATEX finding a clear route to resolution.

Connect your Ex equipment records, inspection findings and corrective work. We help structure the inspection scope, organise follow-up and assemble the evidence needed for an accepted close-out.

The challenge

When the records
and the work drift apart.

Hazardous-area equipment records, inspection reports and maintenance histories often develop separately. A missing equipment reference, incomplete document or unassigned action can leave a finding unresolved long after it has been recorded. We bring the follow-up into one manageable programme.

Typical starting points

01The Ex register and the equipment recorded in inspection reports do not align.

02Open deviations lack an agreed priority, responsible person or remedial scope.

03Corrective work has been carried out, but the required verification or supporting record is missing.

The work

A defined route through
your scope.

01

Reconcile records and scope

Map the agreed equipment population to available inspection records and supporting documentation. Identify missing references, evidence and scope boundaries for review.

02

Organise the inspection and assessment route

Agree the responsibilities of the owner and competent ATEX specialists, the inspection basis and how findings will be recorded. Keep technical assessment distinct from administrative completion.

03

Prepare and coordinate corrective work

Convert approved findings into defined electrical and instrumentation work packages. Coordinate materials, access, work permissions, interfaces and the verification required after the work.

04

Close with traceable evidence

Link the corrective action, completion record, verification result and owner acceptance. Prepare the agreed updates to the Ex register and maintenance system.

What you receive

03 / DELIVERABLE

Corrective work scope

Agreed remedial work, discipline interfaces, access conditions and verification requirements.

04 / DELIVERABLE

Acceptance and evidence dossier

Completion and verification records connected to the original finding and equipment reference.

From finding to evidence

01

Finding

An Ex equipment finding is recorded, but the supporting record and follow-up owner are missing.

02

Agreed action

Confirm the equipment reference, obtain the specialist review and assign the approved corrective scope.

03

Closure evidence

Linked assessment, completed work record, required verification and accepted register update.

Clear responsibilities

Agree the roles
before the work.

The assignment defines which competent specialists inspect, assess and verify the work. Equipment certification, hazardous-area classification and formal conformity decisions are separate specialist responsibilities unless explicitly included. No website enquiry establishes that equipment or a site is compliant.

How owner decisions are built in

Scope questions

Before we start.

Do you issue ATEX certification?

This service concerns the organisation of records, inspection follow-up and agreed remedial work. Certification or formal conformity assessment must be explicitly scoped with an appropriately authorised party.

Can we start with an existing backlog?

Yes. A defined backlog or equipment area is a useful starting point. We first agree the source records, ownership, required specialist input and what counts as accepted completion.

Can the programme include electrical repairs?

Electrical and instrumentation remedial work can form part of the agreed scope. Competence, work permissions, execution responsibilities and independent verification requirements are established before work starts.
